We believe in the spiritual formation of our kids and youth. Our strategy is to engage, encourage, and empower the emerging generations.
This is a family centric empowerment strategy first and foremost, because we believe the Bible teaches parents and extended family to raise up their children in the faith (Deuteronomy 6, Ephesians 6:4). This means we equip parents and families to lead healthy and fruitful lives of spiritual influence and purposeful teaching.
In our church life together we purposefully plan to connect kids to adults, instead of building their whole conception and connection with the church through a ministry or youth group with their own peers, which often means when they age out of that group they have no meaningful relationships with the whole church.
We invest our heart, life and ministry into those who respond to the call of Jesus no matter the age. We believe kids and teens are the church of today, not just the church of tomorrow.
So we hang out with the kids, we garden together, baby sit each others children, work on projects, serve others together, have one another in our homes, have youth in the ministry of song and worship on Sundays, encourage people to teach skills and hobbies to the young, take kids to concerts or wrestling matches and we camp, hike and swim. We encourage creativity and create events to provide platforms for our kids and youth to show off their gifts and talents in art and music. We have learning opportunities on Sundays for them to get in the Bible, but we have also sent them to the mountains to learn to snow board. We equip our church to do ministry and mission in day to day life with their kids.
It's a life together not just a service or event because we are in this for the long haul, one for all and all for one.
“You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.” -2 Timothy 2:2
